Are you looking for a guided small group (usually between 3 and 10 people) kayak tour of the low-country’s Eco-system? We offer kayak tours right off our docks into one of the low-country’s wonders. Jarvis Creek is a small creek which is connected to the Inter-coastal Water Way and dead ends up by Honey Horn Plantation (Coastal Discovery Museum). Jarvis Creek is diverse in wildlife and has little boat traffic to contend with making it a great creek for beginners or kayaker’s with children who are looking for the feeling of getting away into nature when you are still on the island. We have a wide selection of crafts (boats line up in photos on top or rentals page) to select from to help you feel more comfortable along your journey exploring this amazing creek.
Tours sizes are 10 or less to a guide (10:1), we would rather keep it small and personal instead of feeling like you are paddling with a heard and missing the calming experience. Special arrangements can be made though for those large families / friends of over 10 people who would like to go out together if called and scheduled in advance to make arrangements with a second guide to join us.
Two-Hour Nature Kayak Tour:
For: Beginner – Advance
Paddle one of Hilton Head’s most beautiful creeks. Jarvis Creek is considered one of the island’s hidden treasures. During the tour it’s possible to see all kinds of wildlife, such as; shore birds, fish, shrimp, crabs, sea turtles and dolphins. As you paddle Jarvis Creek, you will glide by oyster beds, coast through spartaina grass and drift under the serenity of the sea oaks (tide restrictions). Through-out your tour, our guides will help and answer any questions about the Jarvis Creek (a tidal creek) eco-system and the creeks importance to our oceans life. While we are out there admiring the beauty we strive to leave a minimal human impact for futures to enjoy the many gifts of ocean life provides.
